Jakowdy “Rich Girl vs. Cocaine Blues”

Jakowdy mashes up Shwayze’s version of “Rich Girl” by the Virgins with “Cocaine Blues” by Escort. The Cornell-based DJ blends these two tracks seamlessly to make an addictive Retro-infused Dance track.

Jakowdy took the time to talk to us more about the inspiration of the mashup. “I think that at Cornell we tend to vibe really well with tracks that are upbeat and feature repeating vocals. I wanted to infuse our Gatsby lifestyle on the Hill with a little blues fire, and the mix of songs matched the crowd pretty much perfectly.”
