Underground Playlist Presents: R&B Singer/Songwriter Mateo
Fresh off his BET Music Matters performance, Mateo took the time out to talk to our very own Haydee V. in the Courtyard at NYC’s Delicatessen. The R&B Singer/Songwriter just recently released a mixtape Love & Stadiums which features remixes to Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj among others.
Signed to Alicia Keys’ longtime producer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, Mateo has found a unique chemistry with Kerry that is noticeable in Love & Stadiums. Together they look to bring that magic to Mateo’s upcoming album due early next year.
The industry wasn’t always so smooth for Mateo as he discuses the journey that brought him to Love & Stadiums and the advice Quincy Jones once gave him. All that and a few sound bites on the lovely Alicia Keys as well!
